L/R is a sustainability-focused fashion brand based in Kuala Lumpur. We create a majority of womens clothing alongside having unisex/androgynous pieces through the release of collections which fit a theme or vibe that we wish to convey as well as singular drops for you to enjoy throughout the year. With sustainability being one of our main focuses, we not only create pieces that you will have as part of your closet forever but make sure what we put out won’t hurt the one thing we can’t replace— mother earth. 

Each of our pieces are made inspired by a story that determines the name, design, fabric, every stitch and every detail behind each piece. When you wear an L/R piece, you’re creating your own story with it and it becomes one of a kind and exclusively yours. They are ethically made and we use sustainable materials as often as we can. In efforts to reduce plastic consumption, all our labels as well as packaging are biodegradable and/or recyclable. The production of our clothing is carefully monitored and while advocating transparency. L/R is ever growing, experimenting, and improving to make sure we put out diverse pieces with exceptional quality for our diverse audience.

Purpose

WE ARE A COMMUNITY-FEELING BRAND THAT FOCUSES ON INCLUSIVITY & ACCEPTANCE . WE WANT THE  CUSTOMER TO EMBRACE VULNERABILITY & ENCOURAGE BEING UNAPOLOGETICALLY COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN. 

 

The Founder 

Founded by Manisha Rose, L/R was an idea that blossomed over a conversation with a friend right in her own bedroom December of 2018. After over 2 years of brainstorming, bad ideas, good ones, lots of thought & trying to figure out the perfect way to convey all that she felt this brand was — L/R was finally ready to be shared & made a part of your lives August of 2020. All that L/R stands for is everything that she is, you are, and hopes to become.

Leaving high school scoring straight A’s in SPM but with no plans to further continue her studies, she spent the majority of her life after high school travelling and modelling while working on creating L/R. All of which contributed to her growth that helped tremendously in growing the brand as well. 

Manisha is currently working on fueling her passion for singing, modelling and being an entrepreneur at the age of 20.
